| Graduate students are invited to present at the Fourth Annual Undergraduate Research and Presentation Conference to be held in Herman Hall on Friday. April 23rd, 1999 from 2:00 6:00 p.m. The conference will feature undergraduate and graduate research, IPRO projects, and special class projects. Presentations will be made on posters and can be supplemented with computer demonstrations, models, or videotapes. There will be very limited Internet access. The conference will also feature a keynote address and will conclude with an awards ceremony. Cash prizes, totaling more than 82,500, will be awarded in several categories. | The purpose of the conference is to promote the process of creativity and discovery as exemplified by the research experience, to strengthen an awareness of the value of research in the educational process and to encourage students to pursue advanced studies in their chosen field. Presenting will help you to develop leadership and interpersonal skills, which are crucial to success in graduate school or industry. If you ,wish to participate, please contact Cheryl Caplan at 312.567.3752 or Prof. Peter Johnson at 312.567.3440 to obtain an abstract submission form, detailed directions for producing an abstract, a sample abstract, guidelines for preparing a poster, and a registration form for pre-conference workshops.
