The Illinois Institute of Technology will host the first annual Undergraduate Research and Presentation Conference on March 29, 1996 from 2 PM 6PM in the HUB. All IIT students participating in a research project are invited to make presentations at this conference. Presentations can be in the form of posters or computer demonstrations.

Alberto Quintana, senior in Mechanical Engineering and Kim Terrell, junior in Computer Engineering are chairing a student committee to put on the conference. Both are NASA scholars and feel that "making presentations, whether as a report or presenting the results of a research project, is an important part of the engineering profession. Presenting helps develop communication skills and self confidence which are crucial to succeeding in an engineering career."

For more information on the conference, contact: KimberlyTerrell (terrkin@charlie), Alberto Quintana (326-3013), Professor Peter Johnson, BCPS (johnson@charlie) or (567-3440), or Cheryl Caplan, ETC (caplan@charlie) or (567-5216)
