Administrative Matter
International center
Once you have arrived at IIT, you should bring your passport and I-20 and report your arrival at the International Center so that you may register for classes. The International Center office is locate in the fourth floor of the Main Building, the oldest and reddest looking building in the campus.
Orientation
Once you have reported your arrival in the International Center, you would be required to attend an orientation. The orientation begins on the 20th to the 22nd of August, it is important that you arrive at IIT before this date.
Bank Accounts
During orientation week, representative from local banks would set up a booth in MTCC, you can apply for a bank account during this time. Chase has the most number of atm stations in Chicago and it also has one at IIT in the Herman Union Building.
KJRI
Once you have settled down, you should report your arrival to KJRI. The Consulate General office is located at 211 west Wacker Drive, on the eight floor. The fastest way to get there is to take the green line from IIT and to stop at Clark & Lake station. The office is within a walking distance from the train station.
