New Students
Coming to Chicago
Visa
If you still need to apply for visa the the U.S. Embassy website has a lot of very important information and instructions. Also, additional information on obtaining and maintaining the student visa here.
Housing
You should also arrange your housing before you come to Chicago. Some of you maybe required to live in-campus for your first year in IIT. For information regarding in-campus housing go to the IIT housing website. The move in date for the Fall 2007 semester is 19th August 2007 at 8:00 AM.
If you decide that you want to live outside of the campus, you can find apartments for rent in places like craigslist.
Immunization
To enroll in classes at IIT you need to fulfill an immunization requirements. You can take immunization shots at IIT or you can save some money by bringing documents which proved that you have fulfilled these requirements. Click here for a detailed description of the immunization requirements
Flight Arrangement
Orientation week starts on the 20th of August, so you should arrange your flight so that you arrive around the 19th of August, this will give you enough time to take care of your administrative matter and time to settle in before class starts on the 23rd of August.
