Meet With an Advisor

Chinese New Year Celebration Events at IIT
Chinese New Year falls on February 14 this year, and students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in the celebration through a variety of events on campus and in Chinatown. 

Friday, February 12
Special Chinese lunch open to all IIT students, staff, and faculty in the MTCC Commons. The lunch is free for those who have a meal plan, and $5 for those without a meal plan.

Sunday, February 14
Chinatown Parade The Chinese Students and Scholars Association will provide volunteers to guide interested students, staff and faculty to Chinatown for the parade. Meet at the Welcome Center in the MTCC at 12pm (Noon).

Saturday, February 20
Chinese Lunar New Year Celebration Event - Sponsored by the Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA)

2:30 - 4:30 pm - Meet the Provost and talk with administrators and faculty - Stuart Building, Auditorium 104

5:00 - 6:30 pm - Dinner Buffet at Center Court in the MTCC. Cost is $5 per ticket. Tickets are available at the Campus Information Center as well as at the door at the time of the buffet.

6:30 - 8:30 pm - Dance party featuring traditional Chinese music and a dance instructor in the MTCC Ballroom. This is a free event.
