Tips to file IL 1040


Line 1: The amount of Line 4, From your Adjusted Gross Income of the 1040-NR-EZ.

Line 10: Exemption: You can claim 1 exemption, which is $2100

Line 11 & 13: You are a resident of Illinois if you have lived and worked in Illinois in 2013, even if you are filing your federal tax return as a non-resident.
Line 12: DO NOT check the non-resident box.

Line 15: If the amount is negative, you can put 0.
Step 13 on pg.2: Sign at the Signature section.

Mail the tax return, with 1 copy of the W2 from each employer.
Where to Send the Forms

Federal

Forms 1040NR-EZ and 8843 must be sent to the following address by April 15,2014:

Internal Revenue Service Center
Austin, TX 73301-0215

State

If you will receive a state refund or do not owe money, send Form IL-1040 with copies of 8843 and 1040 NR-EZ to:

PO BOX 1040, GALESBURG IL 61402-1040

If you owe money, send Form IL-1040 with copies of 8843 and 1040 NR-EZ to:

ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE

Remember to Sign your return and make a copy of your entire tax return prior to sending it to the IRS !!!
