You should report to IIT by the date listed on your I-20 and no later than the date listed on your I-20. Only under special circumstances may students be allowed to arrive after this date. These circumstances are limited to difficulties in obtaining a visa in a timely manner, unavailability of plane tickets or family emergency. In such cases students need to obtain a letter of extension which would allow them to come late and still be able to register for classes. The last date to register for Main Campus classes is September 6th. Please be aware that a $150.00 fee is added to your payment if you are registering late from August 29, 2008. To obtain an extension letter, please contact the Graduate Admission Office at gibsond@iit.edu and provide your school ID number.
