Short Term Housing:
Reservation Request Deadline: December 24, 2012 12pm

Cost: $45 per night, maximum of 3 nights
Located in the IIT Guest Suites, Short Term Housing maybe available for incoming students who have not finalized their housing arrangements and/or need a couple of days to complete paperwork prior to moving into their new residence. An individual stay in IIT Short Term Housing costs $45 per night. Short Term Housing stays cannot exceed three nights. Short term housing availability is very limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis through online reservation. Reservation requests will not be accepted after 12pm on December 24, 2012. Please state that you are requesting Short Term Housing in the comments section of your reservation. Luggage Storage:
Program Dates: Two weeks before the start of term until two weeks after the start of term
Cost: No Fee
Luggage storage is available at no cost for incoming students who have not finalized their housing arrangements and/or need to store their property while they arrange accommodations. Students may store luggage for the duration of the program; however, luggage can only be placed in storage or retrieved during Residence and Greek Life office hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Drop-off service is available in the housing office located in McCormick Student Village. Luggage will be tagged and placed in a locked storage room until the owner reclaims it. Repeated in-and-out access to luggage is not available. Early Arrival Request: If you have Room and Board Contract, and plan to arrive to campus prior to January 13, 2013, including if you are arriving early for Orientation, you should request Early Arrival accommodations. Students attending Orientation on January 10th, may begin moving in on January 9th at 9am with no additional charge. Meals are not included for early arrivals. Hostelling International Chicago:
If you plan to arrive earlier than the opening of the residence halls, or prior to the start of your apartment lease but do not have a room assignment, temporary housing may be available at Hostelling International Chicago. Maximum permitted stay is 2 weeks. The hostel is conveniently located about 3 miles from IIT’s main campus and is easily accessible by public transportation.
