Conference Hotel

The official IOOB Conference hotel is Club Quarters, Central Loop. Club Quarters is located at the corner of Adams and Clark Streets beside the famous Rookery Building, a 10 minute walk from IIT's Downtown Campus.

Hotel features include a 24 hour guest service desk, 24 hour menu room service, fitness room, free high speed wireless internet, and a newspaper service. Valet parking is available or, alternatively, Club Quarters is affiliated with the South Loop Garage which is located nearby.

Club Quarters boasts the Elephant and Castle Restaurant, a casual and fun English Pub, serving traditional British cuisine.

Room reservation

  1. Individuals must call Club Quarters Member Services at (312) 214-6400 in order to make a reservation. They should identify themselves with Illinois Institute of Technology and use group code IIT226.
  2. A block of rooms is available until January 15, 2009. Any reservations after that date are subject to availability, though student rates will still apply.
  3. The following room rates apply:
    1. Standard room with two twin beds (single occupancy): $114 + taxes
    2. Standard room with one queen bed (single occupancy): $114 + taxes

Please note that there is a $15.00 charge per any extra person per room.

Alternative options:

  1. In the event that the rooms are all reserved in Club Quarters Central Loop location, the individuals mav book rooms at Wacker at Michigan location at the same room rate based on room availabilitv.
  2. We encourage you to look for lower rates on Hotels.com, Expedia.com, Orbitz.com, Travelocity.com and other similar websites.
  3. Another option includes staying at the J. Ira & Nicki Harris Family Hostel, which is part of Hostelling International (HI). The price is between $30 and $40 a night. Check out their website at http://www.hichicago.org.
