This is a picture of a core-rod being set up. The next picture shows the
core-rod.

This is the rod on which all the spacers and the die are mounted on. The
spacers are shown on the next picture.

These are spacers, that go inside of the press machine, on top which goes
the die.

This is a typical table with the computer and a scale that is located next
to the press machine. The scale (all the way to the left on the picture)
is used to measure a new part to see if the machine is all set-up to run.
The Computer is used in for different purposes. Mostly, it is used to put
in the data for the new job to see what tools are needed or how the press
machine needs to be adjusted.

Here is part of our group with Pr. Nash. They are listening carefully to
one of the set-up workers. Kind of makes you wonder what they are talking
about, doesn't it?

And here is the press machine itself. With the robot arm right infront of
it. This is after the machine has been set up and the parts are being
produced. The robot arm is used to pick up a ready made part and place it
on the sliding tray. The speed of the machine higher than a human arm can
get the part and place it on the tray and that is why a robot arm is
used.
