Bill
Mustain
Hello. I'm Bill Mustain and I am an graduating Chemical Engineering
student here at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Though, not an unusually exciting person, I am busy most of the time.
I have managed to take 16-18 credit hours every semester while working
up to 3 jobs at the same time. My current, and only noteworthy,
place of employment has been for Dunlee, a division of Philips Medical
Systems. I have worked there for nearly two years now.
My official position is 'Design Engineering Intern'. I
actually think that I have an interesting job. My three main
projects right now are the implementation of a CCD camera to detect
and measure the focal spot size of x-ray tubes, a thermal mock-up
of an x-ray tube to examine both the thermal stability of the future
product and the effectiveness of our patent-pending heat-sinking device, and the thermodynamic evaluation
of x-ray tube window materials. So, basically, I design x-ray
tubes.
Though I do look forward to moving on with my life and finding my
place in the real world and making some decent money, I will not be
doing that any time soon. I have decided to get my PhD in Chemical
Engineering and will begin both my studies and my research in cuel
cell techology next semester. Fuel cells have been an area of
great interest of mine for some time now. So, I'm very excited
about moving going to grad school next year.
Now, I'd like to break from the boring, typical bio format and tell
you all some other useless information about me:
