IPRO 339 -
Benchmarking and Evaluation of the IPRO Program

In an attempt to strengthen multidisciplinary skill sets, IIT has continually run its IPRO program. IPRO a term derived from "Inter PROfessional" Project, which is a means in which students can gain "real world" experiences while working on "real world" problems. In an effort to continue with the excellence in education, IIT has a need to do some introspection and reflection on the IPRO program as a whole, and hence IPRO 339 was created. Students, faculty and administration work side by side to find ways through conventional and non-conventional means to make an impact on not only the individual students experience but to also ensure the highest quality program in the industry for all IIT students. In previous semesters, learning objectives were defined and means to determine if those learning objectives were being met were developed. In addition, there have been issues in the past regarding transitioning from one semester to another, what, if any, training should be offered to students, how these students record their accomplishments, as well as how they will interact with each other. These items are the key focus of IPRO 339 for the Spring 2004 semester.
