1. Climatic Conditions: Temperature Ranges from -20º C to 35ºC. It gets very cold in the Months Dec, Jan, Feb and March. Everything is very well heated within the buildings, thus you would not need to wear winter clothes within the apartment even in winter. The snow begins normally towards mid October and remains throughout March and mid April. The Fall season begins towards the end of September while the Spring season begins in April. Chicago is also called the " windy city " with strong winds blowing through out the year.

2. City: Also known as America's Second city. The city is an architectural landmark. You can travel anywhere in the city using the local trains and buses. The downtown Chicago is one of the most beautiful downtowns in the world. Summer is the best season to explore the Chicago streets.        The initial Indian immigrants to Chicago have settled in a street called Devon Avenue situated in the north of Chicago. These days, one may find many Indian grocery stores, Indian shops and Indian restaurants. One may be amused to find "Banarasi Pan" sold  in Devon Avenue. One may find anything from a mere "Parle G, Maggie noodles, Kayam Churna, Khakhra, " to exotic Indian spices sold in Devon Avenue. Walking through Devon Avenue will give a true "desi" experience every time. Devon Avenue is also named "Mahatma Gandhi Marg" owing to very dense Indian population settled around this region.
