Union Board: Well Done and Good Luck

As the year winds down to an end, most of us heave a sigh of relief. Another year completed in school-another year closer to finishing! We, at the Union Board, too breathe a bit easier-another year of programming has gone by, taking with it lot of successes, some disappointments, but imparting an immense amount of satisfaction to all who took part.

The Union Board of the year 1994-95 was an extraordinary lot. We can boast of some of the finest student leaders in IIT. Melissa Swanson did a fantastic job leading a motley crew of programmers, promoters, and associate members. Morale was always high, motivation was never in the lacking. One defining feature of UB members is the passion to see a change especially in the quality of student life at 11T. Jennifer Fallano took hold of this, and movies will never ever be the same! For her dedication and service, she was honored with the Union Board Person of the year award. Brian Bosak, jumped in with swords flailing, and Club Bog was born. Brian continues as the Executive Vice-President, and we have full confidence in his abilities. Sonny Mistry led the programming team, and helped organize the Bob Harris lecture and the upcoming Denny Dent show. Both Brian and Sonny are being honored with the Stryker Distinguished Service Award. Fortunes at the Bog described a perfect sine-wave, but Adena Franchi did an excellent job as concerts director. Special mention

goes to Eric Hopkins who helped design the UB passes, Deanna Habben who helped out Adena, Fakhruddin Hussain who designed the UB T-shirt, Arlyn Nacionales who was great with promotions, Kalpesh Thakkar who took us to Cancun, and finally the dedicated band of associates without nothing would have been possible. This summary would not be complete without thanking Bonnie Gorman, our advisor, who was just the Inspiration we needed to do all that we did.
