Dear KSEA Members,
Attached is the tentative program of the Korea-U.S. Science Cooperation
Center (SCC) Opening Ceremony and the KSEA 25th Anniversary Commemorative
Technical Conference. The SCC Opening Ceremony will be held in the center
building located at 1952 Gallows Road, Vienna, VA 22182 at 10:00 AM,
Thursday, February 20, 1997. The technical Conference will be held at the
Ritz-Carlton Hotel in McLean, VA during February 21-23, 1997. All KSEA
members are invited to attend the events.
According to the resolution approved by the KSEA Councillors last September,
The KSEA Headquarters will move into the third floor of the new SCC Center
at the time of the opening ceremony from the current Rockville office.
The program committee of the Conference encourages the participiation of
young members. Please submit an abstract (150-200 words) through fax or
email to the KSEA 25th Commemorative Technical Conference Committee, 6261
Executive Blvd., Rockville, MD 20852. by February 1, 1997. Its e-mail
address is ysec97@ksea.org and the fax number is 301-984-1231. Please
include the title of the paper, author's full name, address, phone and fax
numbers, and e-mail address.
!!! GRADUATE STUDENTS AND POST-DOCS WITH PAPERS ACCEPTED FOR PRESENTATION
AT THE TECHNICAL OR POSTER SESSIONS WILL BE REIMBURSED FOR THE LOWEST
TRANSPORTATION COST. LODGING AND MEALS WILL ALSO BE PROVIDED AT THE HOTEL.!!

Sunday. Students are encouraged to first respond to
immediately by using the form at the bottom).!!!!!!!!!!!
We regret for the short notice, which was in part caused by circumstances
beyond our control. We would appreciate your understanding. However please
remember this will the first major conference of the kind mainly for the
graduate students and postdocs. The conference is subtitled YSEC97, Young
Scientists and Engineers Conference 97.
