About Me

I have been a dialysis patient for four years.   I spent the first three years on peritoneal dialysis and switched to hemodialysis nine months ago.   Unlike most patients, the cause of my kidney failure was never determined. 

Over the last four years I have had relatively few complications.  I am fortunate in that I have been able to continue to work full time for a major telecommunications company.  In their ongoing effort to support my medical needs, the company set up an office in my home and I work vo.  I dialyse at the hospital for four hours on the evening shift, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until 8:30 PM.

Though I anxiously await a kidney transplant, I try to make the best of a bad situation.  I am very knowledgeable of both peritoneal and hemodialysis and will attempt to answer any questions you may have.
