This dam is located in Russia. It is on the River. It is a concrete dam and it is 200 miles from the mouth of the Dnepr River. The dam provides hydroelectric power for most of the southern mines and industries in Russia. The dam was completed in 1932. It is 200 feet high and 5,000 feet long. When the Germans invaded Ukraine in 1941 the Russians blew up the dam and power plant even though compatriots where going across it at the time. When World War 2 was over the Russians rebuilt the Dneproges Dam and the power plant.
