Parking Citation Appeal Request

Any vehicle parked on IIT property must display a valid IIT permit or utilize paid (meter/paybox) visitor parking.Vehicle owners or drivers may appeal an IIT issued parking violation within 7 days of the issue date, if they feel the violation was issued improperly or extenuating circumstances resulted in the issuance of the violation. Please note that the following are not valid reasons to consider an appeal.

 

Lack of knowledge of IIT parking rules and regulations.
Parking or stopping for a short period of time.
Permit/Meter just recently expired.
Failure to read/see signage.
*Failure to visibly display a permit.
Parked improperly as a result of another vehicle being parked improperly.
The 7-day time limit for appeal has expired.

* Permit holders are entitled to one courtesy waiver per parking year for this violation.

Late fees will not be applied to appealed violations until after an appeal has been denied and the violator has been notified and given 30 days to pay the fine.
