PARKING ENFORCEMENT
Parking at IIT’s Main Campus is enforced at all times including weekends and holidays unless otherwise noted. The A3, A5, C7, and D5 lots are enforced 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Assume that all areas are “No Parking Anytime” unless signs make it explicit that parking is available in that area or you are parked at a meter. We do not post signs everywhere parking is restricted, however we do mark all areas that are valid parking lots.
Vehicles may be towed from campus for the following reasons:
Three or more outstanding citations. This means the vehicle has been issued at least three citations and no actions have been taken to appeal or pay the fines.
Any vehicle obstructing traffic will be towed. This includes, but is not limited to, vehicles parked in fire lanes, blocking loading areas, or parked on sidewalks or grass.
Vehicles will continue to be towed until actions are taken to clear the account of all outstanding violations.
Owners of vehicles that have been towed will need to contact Rendered Services to get their vehicle back.

If you feel a citation was issued improperly or you had extremely extenuating circumstances, you may appeal a citation by filling out this form. Appeals submitted merely because you did not know a certain area was restricted or other such reasons will be denied immediately.
Appeals submitted more than seven days after the date of issue will be denied immediately. Appeals must be submitted to our office within seven days after receiving the citation.
