There continues to be a nationwide shortage of pharmacists that is expected to last through 2010. The Honors Pharmacy Dual Admission Program (DAP) at IIT and the Midwestern University - Chicago College of Pharmacy (CCP) provides a strong academic foundation for students interested in the field. The DAP is a six-year curriculum in which students enroll the first two years at IIT and are guaranteed admission into Midwestern University's CCP program where they will complete four years of professional training. The Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) will be awarded by Midwestern University - Chicago College of Pharmacy. The Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) is not required, and students avoid the costly pharmacy school application process.
