LEARNING DISABILITY EVALUATION

Assessment for learning disability involves an evaluation of cognitive functioning as related to academic achievement. In many cases, the evaluation includes observation at the school setting for better understanding of the difficulties the student may be experiencing. Results are used to identify strengths and weaknesses in academic functioning, so that educational programs can focus on enhancing academic achievement. If a learning disability is detected, recommendations for services are included.
