Section V. C. Online Services
ONLINE SERVICES - We have Project Inform on line, which has several data bases. The databases are Grolier Encyclopedia, Periodical Abstract (with over 300 periodicals available), UMI (full text periodicals - over 300 periodicals available), SIRS (Social Issues Resource), Peterson's College Guide, and all of the Chicago Public Libraries collection. We also have the Internet Lab. There are several search engines that are available for the students in the lab. We are planning to purchase additional software for patron use. We are looking forward to a purchase date of 1998-1999.
The library office has a stand alone computer which has Project Inform on it, and the students are allowed to use and print from this computer. The library proper has Project Inform on one computer, which is networked throughout the school. We have one computer with CD ROM capabilities, two computers which are used to search our own collection and one computer at the circulation desk for circulation and record keeping.
