Dr.
Lawler is a board certified internal medicine physician, who is on staff
at Mercy Hospital and maintains an office in the Bridgeport neighborhood.
Dr. Lawler is onsite at the SHC one morning per week, and is available
for consultation with the Nurse Practitioner on a regular basis.
Kathy
Morgan is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. A Nurse Practitioner (NP)
is a registered nurse with advanced education in diagnosing and treating
illness. NPs are health experts that focus on helping you achieve total
health and prevent disease. The philosophy of Nurse Practitioners differs
slightly from that of physicians, and generally NPs have more time
available to spend with their patients.
NPs prescribe medication,
and treat illness in much the same way as physicians.
