About Student Activities & Orientation

The Office of Student Activities & Orientation consists of two full time staff members and three student assistants who are dedicated to helping student organizations succeed at IIT and developing their members into effective leaders on campus.

The mission of New Student Orientation is to facilitate the transition into the IIT community. New Student Orientation introduces students and their families to the IIT experience. We provide programs, events and information that create a common experience and connect student to each other, their college and academic program. Through Orientation, students will be exposed to both curricular and co-curricular opportunities and resources that will foster student learning and development both in and out of the classroom.
