Programs, Events & Traditions
College is about experiences. The
programs, events, and traditions offered by the Office of Student
Activities & Orientation and student organizations enhance these
experiences.
Taste of the Quad
takes place during the Fall orientation week, hosted by the
fraternities and sororities of IIT, featuring food, music and carnival
games, it is one of the largest social events on campus all year and
designed to entertain and feed a large number of IIT students,
incoming and returning, Greek and non-Greek alike.
Homecoming is a
week full of tradition and IIT pride. Several fun and
entertaining events take place during this festive time, with the week
ending with the Homecoming Dance.
International Fest
is the International Student Organization's premier event that is held in both the Spring and Fall semesters, where students from
different countries and ethnic groups get an opportunity to present a
variety of food from their culture.
Midnight Breakfast
gives students a chance to have a study break with a late night
breakfast on the Tuesday of finals week in both the Spring and Fall
semesters.
Spring Formal
allows students to experience a night out on the town. Filled
with dinner and dancing, this event is one of the
highlights of the Spring semester.
Talent Show is
a yearly event that takes place in Spring semester that allows
students to showcase their unique talents and abilities. Faculty serve
as judges for this exciting event.
Stress Relief Zone
creates a chance to relieve that stress and tension during finals week.
Puzzles, games and snacks gives students the perfect break they need
when they're not cramming for finals in the Spring and Fall semesters.
