Paul Anderson, Ph.D. has been our student chapter academic advisor since its inception. His research interest include biosolids mineralization, trace element geochemistry, physical-chemical processes in water and wastewater treatment, watershed management, industrial ecology education |
Professional Adviser |
Krishna Pagilla, Ph.D. ,P.E has been our chapter professional adviser since its inception. He is interested in physiochemical and biological methods of water pollution control. His current research is in developing sustainable technologies for nutrient control, aerobic and anaerobic membrane bioreactors for wastewater treatment, and improving bacteria for bioremediation of organic pollutants. Other work related to remediation of soil contaminated by organics and metals is also being pursued in his laboratory. |

Mostafa Noureldin is a civil engineer that graduated from Cairo University in Egypt, with interests in the water/wastewater field. He is currently enrolled in the environmental engineering graduate Master's program at Illinois Institute of Technology. Email: mnourel2@iit.edu |

Dhesikan Venkatesan is a doctoral student at IIT in the Environmental Engineering program. His research interest include Odors and Air emissions from collection systems, Wastewater Treatment Plant(WWTP) and biosolids operation, GHG emission inventory from WWTP and energy recovery options-Anaerobic Digestion, Disinfection in drinking water systems, Dry and Wet Deposition of Airborne particles, Design of air and water pollution control devices.

Feng Huang is pursuing his master degree in Environmental Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology. He is working as a Research Assistant on the project of recovering energy from treated wastewater. Currently he is the vice president of this chapter and is involved in the design of disinfection system for Haiti project. He is incharge of the analytical analysis of the water sample.

ShiHui Luo is a graduate student in Illinois Institute of Technology, majoring in Environmental Engineering. She joined WEF student chapter in 2007. Her interest is water and wastewater reuse. She is now involved in a water project for Pignon, Haiti and is working on the dose disinfection- dose injection. She hopes to graduate by the year 2008 and find a carrer in water resource industry.

Mark Rokita is currently pursuing a Master's in civil engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He joined WEF while working on a water project for Pignon, Haiti. Having visited Haiti in both March 2007 and January 2008, Mark is actively involved with WEF and Haiti Outreach. He is also the President of Haiti outreach -Student chapter at IIT. He recently decided to pursue graduate studies in Environmental Engineering at IIT.

Bhavya Mittur is an IIT alum. She graduated with a masters degree in Computer Science. Currently she is working as a software developer for a firm in downtown Chicago.

Abdulkamal Abdullahi is currently pursuing a Master's in chemical engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He joined WEF in 2009 to assist with website-related issues.
