Please note: students should register for either Biomedical Engineering: Session I or Biomedical Engineering: Session II. Biomedical Engineering: Session I is a commuter program held in-person on Illinois Tech's Mies campus. Biomedical Engineering: Session II is the same program, but with the option for students to stay residentially on Illinois Tech's campus for the program duration. Students must be 15-17 years old to participate in residential programs.

Rising 10th–12th graders
Biomedical engineers improve our health and lives through advances such as artificial organs, sophisticated robot-operated surgical equipment, advanced medical imaging, and deep brain stimulation. In this course, students will be introduced to the range of opportunities and applications in biomedical engineering. Students will learn to use electrophysiology laboratory equipment and software to measure and analyze their own heart, muscle, and brain electrical signals.
