The NxtGen IT and Cybersecurity Program, offered by the School of Applied Technology at Illinois Tech, is for high school students who are interested in learning more about information technology, computing, and next-generation technologies.
Chemistry Research Experience
The Chemistry Research Experience summer program highlights the areas of medicinal chemistry, computer-aided drug design, and organic chemistry. Students will learn basic laboratory techniques and conduct experiments in first class chemistry teaching labs and facilities under the guidance of dedicated research professors.
The Challenge of Climate Change—Middle School
This course will focus on a serious environmental issue of this century and beyond: climate change. We will explore the science associated with both the natural greenhouse effect, and the overwhelming influence of human emissions in driving temperatures up over the past two centuries, and likely much more during this century and beyond.
Chicago Analytics Using R
This summer program will introduce you to Chicago data sets ranging from transportation, education, service requests to 311, health, and more. Students will learn the fundamental concepts of programming in R and use data to answer questions about the city. Sessions will alternate between interactive lectures and individual or small group coding exercises.
