Urban Systems Engineering, Urban Building Systems Track (M.ENG.)
Illinois Tech’s Master of Engineering in Urban Systems Engineering program prepares students to rise to the challenges of designing and maintaining tomorrow’s smart, sustainable cities. Core courses provide a solid knowledge base for students to launch specializations in urban transportation systems, urban building systems, or the monitoring and control of urban systems.
The urban building systems track includes courses in building energy models, energy conservation in building design, and lighting systems design. Students can also add on a variety of electives ranging from legal considerations to construction issues to real estate fundamentals.
