Alan Secor

Alan Secor graduated from the University of Florida in 2022 with his Ph.D. in Economics after getting a master’s degree in economics there in 2018. Previously, he received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, in 2016.

His research is primarily in education and is focused on public policy evaluation. He is also interested in public economics, labor economics, and industrial organization. He is also currently doing postdoctoral research in association with Dr. Nuria Rodriguez-Planas at the Research Foundation of The City University of New York.

Secor has three years of experience teaching a self-designed undergraduate course in the economics of education. He also has teaching knowledge and experience in undergraduate and graduate courses in subjects including econometrics, statistics and probability, economics for business, and game theory.
