Shahzad Hussain is a career services professional with over 19 years of experience in advising and mentoring students to successful careers around the world. Apart from processing the Curricular Practical Training (CPT) applications and guiding international students through the CPT and OPT processes, Shahzad reviews resumes and cover letters, helps students with interview prep, job search strategies, networking strategies, and organizes several career related presentations and workshops throughout the year, creating opportunities for students to not only learn but also network with people from the industry.

Shahzad is also an accomplished employer relations professional and plays a crucial role in bringing the employers to the campus for various career related events such as Employer Information Sessions, Career Pathways by Program, career fairs, mock interviews, company visits, and on-campus interviews.

Shahzad joined the Stuart School of Business as associate director in 2013 after serving for several semesters as a career adviser. He has a Master’s in Higher Education Administration and Policy from Northwestern University. He also has a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India.
