Xiaoxing Jin obtained his Ph.D. in the history and philosophy of science (history track) at the University of Notre Dame, and did postdoctoral research in the Department of the History of Science at Harvard University. He is now an adjunct professor in the Department of Humanities at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Jin’s papers have been published in Isis (the flagship journal in the history of science), the Comparative Studies in Society and History, and the British Journal for the History of Science. His book project is now under review at the Oxford University Press. Jin has evaluated manuscripts for three world-class journals and has given papers at a series of conferences, including the 2017 History of Science Society Annual Meeting, the 2018 HSS Annual Meeting, and the American Historical Association Annual Meeting in 2019.
