Research Interests

Professor Xu's research interests include RF/analog and mm-wave IC design for wireless communications, radar and imaging applications. His research focuses on energy efficient RFIC designs in digital communication such as cellular and connectivity systems, sensor mesh networks, and satellite navigation systems. He is also interested in analog IC design automation, RFIC noise/nonlinearity macromodel and analog IC design for manufacturability.

Awards

He is the Summer Faculty Fellow of American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) in 2010 and 2012. He was a recipient of the Inventor Recognition Award from the Microelectronics Advanced Research Consortium (MARCO) in 2004 and 2005.
