    The Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) is a broad-based public private alliance consisting of key industry, academic and government stakeholders whose mission is to support safe food production by developing a nationwide core curriculum, training and outreach programs to assist companies producing human and animal food in complying with the preventive controls regulations that will be part of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).

    November 2015
    FDA released groundbreaking final rules that will help produce farmers and food importers take steps to prevent food safety problems before they occur. The agency also released a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the produce rule’s provisions.

    FSPCA Webinars

    The Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA), in collaboration with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), hosts quarterly webinars to update stakeholders on the progress of the Alliance. 2015 webinars are scheduled for March 12, June 24, September 3 and December 17.

    Upcoming FSPCA Lead Instructor Training

    Human Food courses are being planned over the next few months and will combine the FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food Course with the Lead Instructor Training and will be 3 days in length. This combined course will meet the need of approved Lead Instructor applicants who are required to take both courses in order to become a Lead Instructor.
