Major and Graduation

Biomedical Engineering - Graduation Date: May 2024

Short-Term Goals

My short-term goals as I'm starting college are to maintain good grades and balance it with a healthy social life. My short term goals are always flexible, I am always finding new projects that I want to work on and there are always new skills I want to improve on, such as chess, video games, or graphic design. Currently, I hope to make many new friends and join student organizations where I can meet new people and foster my interests. I would like to take leadership positions in my community through the organizations I join and through school as well. I hope the Leadership Academy will teach my everything I need to become a great leader one day. I would also like to learn as much as I can about Biomedical Engineering, so in the future I know what I want to with it and what related internships or projects to pursue in later years of college. I hope to work on bettering myself as a scientist and a leader, and using that to help my community, whether that be helping with homework or student organizations, or maybe one-day creating new technology to help the world.

Long-Term Goals

My main long term goal is to graduate from Illinois Tech with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering. After completing college and any projects or internships, I will go on to continue my education through medical school. I hope to contribute to the world through research into the medical field and virology. One day, I hope to invent new technology and maybe start my own business. Biomedical Engineering gives me diverse opportunities to pursue many new innovations related to both the medical field and engineering. Biomedical Engineering allows me to keep a broad perspective on the issues of the world, and work in many different fields throughout my life. It could apply to innovations in the fields of medicine, technology, space travel, the environment, and many more. I will use what I learned at Illinois Tech and the Leadership Academy to become a leader and help as much as I can through developing technology and saving lives as a doctor. I will always stay active in my community, and help the world by active against issues facing our world, such as degradation to the environment. I will find ways to help though my career and through activism. One day, I hope to have a community that I contribute to and would be happy to start a family in.
