IIT Stuart M.S. Finance Program Ranked Among Top Global Programs by Financial Times

Program Ranked Top Ten In The Nation and the Only Ranked Program In the Midwest

Illinois Institute of Technology Stuart School of Business earned a top ranking by Financial Times for its pre-experience master's program in finance. According to the Financial Times Global Masters in Finance 2015 rankings, which were announced today, IIT Stuart's Master of Science in Finance Program is ranked 6th in the nation, 33rd in the world, and remains the only ranked program in the Midwest.

The Financial Times ranking is based on a survey of alumni who graduated three years previously, with criteria that emphasize the salary and career status of these alumni.

"IIT Stuart's M.S. Finance program is known for its combination of academic rigor and industry relevance, and I am proud to see continued recognition of our unique approach in this ranking," said Harvey Kahalas, Professor of Management and Economic Development and John and Mae Calamos Stuart School of Business Dean Endowed Chair. "Our program focuses on quantitative, analytical, and technological skill development giving our graduates a strategically competitive edge."

The M.S. Finance program is designed to train professionals for careers in the financial markets. Core courses cover basic principles of valuation, portfolio management, and financial statement analysis. Students can customize their degrees by selecting from IIT Stuart's 12 industry-driven concentrations, including financial engineering, high frequency finance, entrepreneurial finance, and risk management.
