Congratulations MMAE Graduates
Over 150 MMAE students will complete their degrees by the 2013 IIT Commencement: 85 BS degrees (AE – 25, ME – 60, MSE – 18, 22 minors, 13 double majors), 75 Master’s degrees and 10 PhD degrees (MSE – 5, MAE – 5).

IIT Names Leon Shaw as First Rowe Endowed Chair in Sustainable Energy

Illinois Institute of Technology’s Armour College of Engineering is pleased to announce that Leon Shaw will join the university as the Rowe Family Endowed Chair in Sustainable Energy and Professor of Materials Engineering, effective August 1, 2012.

Shaw joins IIT from the University of Connecticut where he has been a member of the engineering faculty since 1995 and is currently a professor in the Department of Chemical, Materials & Biomolecular Engineering and head of NMR facilities of Biotechnology & Bioservices Center. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. in materials science and engineering (‘92) from the University of Florida, and his M.Eng. in mechanical engineering (’87) and B.S. in materials engineering (‘80) from Fuzhou University, China.
