We recognize paying for a high-quality education is a primary concern for students and their families. We also know that an IIT education is an investment that will pay out a lifetime of rewards.
That's why financial aid is such an important part of what we do at IIT. We work hard to bring the cost of an IIT education within reach of anyone with the talent and desire to be here. More than 97 percent of IIT students receive some form of financial assistance — from scholarships, loans, work-study, or a combination of these resources.

Effective July 1, 2009, borrowers may enroll in a new income-based repayment plan designed to make federal student loan payments more affordable. This program is especially helpful to borrowers with high student loan debt and low earnings, as the program utilizes a calculation that caps the total repayment amount based on family size and income.
Under this new program, after 25 years of qualifying payments, any remaining student loan debt will be forgiven. Additionally, if you hold an eligible public service position, any remaining student loan debt will be forgiven after 10 years of qualifying payments and continuous public service.
To find out more information, please go to www.ibrinfo.org. To enroll in income-based repayment, please contact your lender.
