Illinois Tech Boris Pervan MMAE in classroom

Faculty Showcase

Boris Pervan, Frank Gunsaulus Faculty Fellow in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Illinois Tech and director of the Center for Assured and Resilient Navigation in Advanced Transportation Systems (CARNATIONS), is a partner on a $6 million NASA-funded project to improve surface navigation for uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS). Drawing on his expertise in global navigation satellite systems, Pervan is addressing challenges in achieving the centimeter-level positioning required for precise taxiing at commercial airports.
