How To Notify Illinois Tech of Alleged Copyright Infringement

Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) certain online service providers, for example, those that allow users to post or store material on their systems, and search engines, directories, and other information location tools, which Illinois Tech does allow, can obtain safe harbor from copyright infringement liability by, among other things, designating an agent to receive notifications of claimed copyright infringement. Federal regulations adopted by the Copyright Office pursuant to authority vested in it by the DMCA, state that to designate such an agent an online service provider must make available to the public on its Website, certain contact information for its agent. Accordingly, Illinois Tech notes below the information required by these federal regulations.
