Our department-specific career fair features a variety of civil engineering, architectural engineering, architectural, and construction companies seeking to hire students for part- and full-time positions.

Hosted by Illinois Tech's student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the past five years have seen up to 20 companies in attendance, and we are looking to expand and increase the number of companies through the collaboration with several student organizations.

“I had the pleasure to lead and plan the CAEE Career Fair in 2019. This career fair brings in top-tier civil and architectural engineering companies that match our student body’s drive and ambitions to contribute to the workplace. I personally have received an internship offer from a company that attended and have been there since!”

Zachary Haney (ARCE/M.E. STE 4th Year), 2019 ASCE-Illinois Tech Student Chapter President

“Attending the CAEE Career Fair allowed me to talk to so many people in the industry in the same room. The companies I got to talk to were already knowledgeable about architectural engineering, and I was already familiar with the work that they do. ASCE and the CAEE department were able to bring many firms from specific disciplines that were not at the large campus career fair. They were also able to bring back the big name companies that have a good relationship and reputation with IIT, so there was truly something for every student. Being able to see all of our opportunities in Chicago in one room was very impactful for CAEE students. The department career fair is one of the best career fairs that I have ever been to.”
