Tanushri Banerjee

Tanushri Banerjee is a Professor of Business Administration at the Illinois Tech (Mumbai Campus) with over three decades of combined experience across global academia and industry. Throughout her career, beyond teaching, she has bridged the gap between technological advancement and modern management education, holding key leadership roles in academia such as Dean of Academic Programs at the University of Wollongong (GIFT City, Gujarat) and Dean and In-Charge Director at Pandit Deendayal Energy University.

As a founding Associate Director at Duke Corporate Education (a JV between Duke University and IIM Ahmedabad), Tanushri built startup operations and contributed towards the design and delivery of customized leadership programs across the US, UK, China, and India for major global corporations, including IBM, Infosys, Bank of America, and Genpact. Her industry experience also includes systems roles at Abbott Laboratories in Chicago and Torrent Labs.

Holding a B.E. in Electronics, an MS in Information Systems from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Ph.D. in Management from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, her expertise lies at the intersection of data management, business analytics, and global business practices. An accomplished scholar, she has co-authored 4 books on Business Analytics, authored book chapters on digitalization, and published over 35 research papers.

A certified career counselor, Tanushri is deeply committed to experiential learning, student-centric curriculum design, and leveraging simulations and capstone projects to prepare industry-ready leaders.
