Patrick Payne will be giving a presentation on careers in analytics and business administration on Thursday, February 28 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in DTC Room 470.

Patrick is currently the Director of Data Strategy & Analytics at the Illinois State Board of Education. He has spent the last eight years working in the education sector, serving as a Regional Portfolio Planner for Chicago Public Schools and managing a team that includes, facilities, legal, intergovernmental affairs, community engagement, IT, communications, safety and security, talent, and education in order to develop strategic plans for schools. Before this appointment, he held roles in Wipro Consulting as a Consulting Manager, M&T Bank, and Wells Fargo. He also holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business and a B.S.B.A. in Marketing from Drake University.

The Illinois State Board of Education is an overseer of public education in the state of Illinois. This board typically comprises of 9 members who are Governor appointed, with confirmation from the Senate. These board members are tasked with the responsibility of setting educational policies and guidelines for both public and private schools all across the state of Illinois.
