Lisa Ponti will be giving a presentation on careers in risk management on Friday, March 8 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in DTC Room 470.

Lisa Ponti is a former commercial credit analyst and a lending officer who has worked with national, as well as international banks, before transitioning into a career in academe which involves topics related to finance and economics. She currently serves as the Vice President of the Institutional Outreach program at the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). Lisa has also has served as an adjunct professor at New York University where she taught courses related to international banking. At Montclair State University, she taught undergraduate courses in corporate finance and economics.

GARP is a non-profit organization that is globally recognized with membership association for risk managers. They currently serve over 150,000 members in over 190 countries. Their mission is to advance risk profession through formal training, education and standardize 'best practices' for risk professionals.
