Description

Core-shell nanowires, carbon nanotubes and helical nanowires, as building blocks for nanophotonics and nanoelectronics, have attracted much attention due to their strong potential for improving the performance of photonic and electronic devices and controlling the formation of these nanomaterials remains challenge. In order to understand the mechanisms of synthesizing processes of these materials, we propose models and investigate the influence of parameters in the experiments on the formation of these nanomaterials both analytically and numerically. At last, I will also discuss experiences we learnt, issues we encountered and ideas we have on the modeling and simulations of nanomaterials.

Event Topic
