Innovative Adaptation Symposium

“Innovative Adaptation” is the first day of the three-day symposium “Shaping Contemporary Realities: Architecture and Beyond,” organized by Villa Albertine and MAS Context. Through exemplary case studies, Innovative Adaptation explores how architectural heritage can not only be preserved, but also positioned to address current and future needs through innovative thinking and new technologies. Pressing global and local environmental challenges, new material and programmatic requirements, and evolving ways of living require the use of forward-thinking approaches that serve heritage restoration and repositioning. This symposium will take place on Thursday, September 24, from 1–4:30 p.m. in S. R. Crown Hall’s Center Core.
