On September 28, an international team of Telecom Influencers from Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Iraq, Mauritius, and Morocco visited the Department of Electrical and Computer (ECE)  for a discussion on building and maintaining a secure 5G wireless network. The visit was part of the International Visitor Leadership program (IVLP) under the auspices of Unites States Department of State. Suresh Borkar, Lin Cai, and Ken Zdunek shared their insights on the differentiating value of 5G Wireless in terms of data rate, reliability, and latency. There was considerable discussion in the areas of policy, regulation, deployment options, spectrum, and security. Jafar Saniie facilitated the visitors with lunch and shared the education opportunities and competitive learning experience provided by the ECE department.
