Organizational Meeting
Description
Main reading topics chosen: 2/12 and 2/19, we will read the papers that explain in detail Theorem 1.2.17 in "Lecture notes in algebraic statistics" book. These papers are about transportation polytopes and implications for Markov bases for tables. Then, we will continue with discussion of Graver bases, and encoding graph properties with ideals (specifics later). Further topics will be chosen in March or April.
