The 2022 Roy C. Palmer Prize on Democracy, Civil Liberties, and the Rule of Law has been awarded to Neil Richards, Koch Distinguished Professor in Law and director of the Cordell Institute at Washington University St. Louis School of Law, for his book Why Privacy Matters (Oxford University Press). This annual prize honors a work of scholarship that explores threats to, or the support of, the liberal democratic constitutional order. It also encourages and rewards public debate among scholars on current issues affecting the rights of individuals and the responsibilities of governments throughout the world. The Palmer public lecture will take place in the Oglivie Auditorium of the Conviser Law Center on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 3–4 p.m. Please register for the event at the link below.
