SoReMo Forum Features Fellows' Research Presentations
Join the Socially Responsible Modeling, Computation, and Design (SoReMo) Forum Friday, December 10 to hear the SoReMo fellows present their semester-long research projects.
The final SoReMo Forum of the semester will be held from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. both online and in-person, and will feature research projects conducted by the five SoReMo student fellows:
- Trent Gerew (AMAT/M.S. AMAT 5th Year): Reaction-diffusion spatial modeling of COVID-19 in Chicago
- Michael Kralis (M.S. AMAT 1st Year): Education Disparity in Chicago: A Statistical Analysis
- Sandy Orozco (MPPA 1st Year): Evidence-Based Strategies: A Study to Improve Diversity and Inclusion in Illinois Higher Education Institutions
- Sara Simon (Ph.D. DHUM Student): The Data-Driven Narratives of Epidemics: A History of Chicago’s Public Health Data Pipelines
- Jati Zunaibi (Ph.D. ARCH Student): Design Justice Within Education
SoReMo advocates for ethical, equitable approaches in computation, modeling, and design, contributing to the common good of Chicago and beyond through research and education initiatives at Illinois Tech.
